THANK-YOU!
We are so grateful to our major sponsors Redland City Council who generously raised their financial contribution this year to $13k and to Freeman's hire, without who, the festival could not have run. Mr Tony Willis generously provides all of the equipment required each year and many of his workers assist in the putting up and pulling down of the event. To this family owned business we cannot say thank-you enough!!
I would also like to thank the local Churches for their financial support and also for the hundreds of volunteers who sacrificially give up their holiday to ensure that the community can come and enjoy this completely free event.
To the local businesses who have given again this year in spite of the global financial crisis, we can only express our deepest gratitude, and ask God to bless you richly for your generosity. Local companies also gave of their time and talent, and we are appreciative of these people also, as it takes more than just money to make this festival go round!
This year at the last minute, locals Ross Willams and Todd Young stepped in to assist us with sound and lighting, and I would especially like to say a huge thanks to these guys and for the heart with which they did it!
To all our performers who came from near and far, thank you for sharing your incredible talent with us! We were wooed, wowed and simply amazed by your performances!
A special note of thanks goes to my wonderful friend Cr Karen Williams, for emceeing the entire day.
And finally, thank you to all of you who came. We trust that for a few hours you found yourself in an oasis of love, peace, joy, and hope. I personally enjoyed talking with the many families of this great city, and met some new ones who had travelled into this great part of Queensland for the day. Some even asked how they could have a festival like ours in their town!
Blessings,
Deborah Wagner
